Fashion Friday - Pink, Black & White

Hi everyone! Hope you had a week full of excitement and fun!

Our week was mostly spent in bed because of the flu so we didn't get much done around the house. I'm also a bit behind on commenting on the Boost Your Blog in 100 Days Challenge but I'm trying to catch up. There are so many awesome blogs and the Comments Challenge has given me the opportunity to learn a lot of new things and be inspired by these wonderful ladies.

And since we were all feeling better, we got out of our PJ's and ventured outside. Here's what my dear daughter wore - plus a puffy coat and a pair of warm boots.

The top is a bit big but I like the fact that it's longer on her so I just rolled the sleeves up a bit.

What did your little ones wear?
Feel free to leave a link of your kids fashion posts in the comments so I can have a look at what your kids are wearing and be inspired.

Have a great weekend!

Cinnamon, Honey, Walnut Banana Crepes

Today's been a very productive day. The sunny and quite warm weather made me feel energetic and ready to tackle some of the clutter hotspots in our home. To celebrate today's accomplishments I made these delicious crepes that include a healthy and nutritious combo of bananas, cinnamon, honey and walnuts.

Ingredients

Batter:

1 egg

200 gr flour

 250 ml milk

250 ml sparkling mineral water

a pinch of salt

cooking oil or cooking spray for the pan

 Filling:

banana slices

honey

cinnamon

chopped walnuts

    Instructions

1.  Mix all of the ingredients well so that the batter is thin and lump free.
2. Lightly grease and heat a frying pan.
3. Scoop the batter with a ladle and pour into the center while moving the pan in a circular motion and tilting it to spread the batter evenly.

Assembling

Spread the banana slices, honey, cinnamon and chopped walnuts on the crepe. Fold the crepe to form a square and drizzle some honey on top.

Do you eat crepes often? Do you have a different recipe? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Bon Appétit!

Boost Your Blog in 100 Days

I am super excited for the Boost Your Blog in 100 Days Challenge which starts today. Blogging is all about interaction and sharing, and these 10 day challenges are meant to help you meet fellow bloggers, get more traffic to your blog and boost your social media. The series will cover topics such as SEO, Twitter, Pinterest and Blog Post Topics.

boost blog 400 host

Why Thaleia choose 100 Days? Well, to be honest I am a very, very busy mom of 4 children 11 years and under. I do not have extra time to spend laboring over by blog and Social Media. I want results and habits that can transform the limited time I have into something incredible. Spreading out 10 challenges over 10 days each just sounds better to me. Spending just 10-15 minutes a day versus an hour or two makes more sense to me. Easing into each new challenge should help create a habit a little easier. This will also give you a better understanding of why a particular challenge should be done daily or weekly and how it has helped you. Quick clarification- anyone with a blog CAN participate. I did seek out an initial 100 bloggers to help promote this series in exchange I am using their blogs to direct people to during the 10 days of Comments Challenge. Hope I have not confused anyone. You may do one or all 10 challenges at your own pace or join in daily.

Fashion Friday - Valentine's OOTD

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope you are having a wonderful time with your loved ones. We are staying in tonight, just relaxing and enjoying a family dinner. But the fact that we are not going out doesn't mean we can't get festive with the outfits, right?
Here's my daughter's outfit in true Valentine's Day spirit.

I love this fabric heart. I love it so much that I might recreate something similar on one of my tops one day.

Aren't these beautiful heart-shaped hair ties simply adorable?

Have an amazing Valentine's Day!

Sweet & Savory Sunday - Homemade Pasta Sauce

We love pasta. It's one of the things that somehow creeps into a lot of our meals and we devour it pretty fast, especially when it's topped with this delicious homemade sauce.
The sauce consists of 6 basic ingredients but you could easily switch things up by adding different veggies and herbs and have a completely new sauce every time. And since we have our own garden, I usually make large amounts of the sauce which makes it both healthy and budget-friendly.

Ingredients:

2 kg peeled tomatoes, ground in a meat grinder
2 eggplants, peeled and ground in a meat grinder
50 gr sugar
150 ml oil
100 ml water
salt to taste
garlic, finely chopped, to taste

Optional:

handful of parsley
chilli  peppers

Instructions:

1. Combine everything in a large saucepan and cook on medium heat for 90 minutes, stirring occasionally.
2. If you would like to store it for future use, pour it into jars while it's still hot and close the lid. Let it cool and then transfer jars to the refrigerator or a cool and dark place.

Enjoy!
